Our Story & Mission

Global Theological Ministries exists to fulfill the Great Commission by equipping pastors, church leaders, and theological institutions around the world to faithfully proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. GTM was formally organized as a Texas nonprofit corporation, and its 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status became effective December 16, 2022 — but the vision behind it is much older.

We’re inspired by William Carey, the father of the modern missions movement, who challenged the church to “expect great things from God; attempt great things for God.” GTM believes theological education is one of the most strategic means of advancing the Kingdom — because millions of believers around the world are led by pastors with little or no access to theological training, ministry resources, or Christian scholarship. GTM exists to bridge that gap, partnering with seminaries, universities, churches, and mission organizations to provide biblical education, leadership development, libraries, technology, and mentoring.

Every pastor equipped is another congregation strengthened, another community reached, and another generation prepared to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Leaders equipped in Tanzania strengthen the global church. Pastors trained in India advance the Gospel in their own communities. Partnerships in South Africa, Cuba, Brazil, and Malaysia encourage and strengthen churches here at home in the United States. The mission moves outward — and returns.”

GTM’s approach is shaped by the doctoral research of Dr. B. David Mahfouz at the University of South Africa, which produced the Effective Seminary Framework for Theological Education (ESFTE). The framework argues that sustainable theological institutions are built on strategic partnerships, contextualized curriculum, faculty development, technological integration, and a commitment to the Great Commission — and it has been tested through international case studies across GTM’s own partner network. Effective seminaries produce healthy churches, equipped leaders, and mission-minded disciples who, in turn, train others.

GTM and GLDI carry out this mission through four strategic pillars:
